Sufjan Stevens: The Age of Adz

Let’s get a few things out of the way. This is NOT the Sufjan that you knew back in 2005. This is not even the Sufjan that released the All Delighted People EP last August. This is a brand new Sufjan. Pretend that Emeralds got together with early Grizzly Bear and you begin to have what this album is. And yes while it is electronic, it still has the enormous instrumentation that Mr. Stevens loves to use. This album is interesting, exciting and really really good.

Oh Yeah, Daft Punk is Back

Just yesterday, during the encore of what seemed like a fairly typical concert, fans got way more than what they paid for. Phoenix was playing “If I Ever Feel Better”, when suddenly Daft Punk appeared on stage. They ended up surprising fans with “Around the World”, “Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger”, and even adding synth parts to Phoenix’s “1901”! Our favorite French duo is back! Be sure to check out the video below.

For about a month and a half Flow and I were searching for these tickets, along with about a couple hundred people I might add. Every time one of us went on the internet the first thing we would do was search as many sites as we could, search any and all sources we had, just to find some tickets. But it wasn’t even that, at first it was just a struggle to find where the concert was playing, on what date, and what venue, and so on and so forth.

*WE’RE BACK* Menomena: Mines



To be honest, I didn’t realize that many people knew about Menomena…and that was a good thing, because so often in music the more popular a band becomes, the more “mainstream” a category a band is placed in, the less different that band’s sound becomes. That’s why I never spoke of my LOVE of Menomena, whether it was I Am the Fun Blame Monster! or Under an Hour, I have always thought of Menomena as one of the greatest, most underrated bands of the decade! The Sonic Flow’s First Blogcast!


The Sonic Flow is on the radio wave! Today was our first full fledge radiocast for approximately an hour and a half. Although it was a little glitchy at first we’ve now find our stride! Be ready for an online stream of radio coming your way.
