Cross-over electronic duo Daft Punk haven’t embarked on a stadium tour since 2007. It has since been known as one of the most memorable tours of all time, yet Daft Punk have ceased to do much since. Just recently, however, it has been leaked on multiple websites that Daft Punk are slated to go on a world tour in 2011 through 2012. Hooray!

In case you were out of the loop for whatever reason, their latest tour, titled “Alive 2007”, consisted of Daft Punk playing inside of a giant pyramid in front of a solid wall of lights. Yeah, it was pretty awesome. If you don’t believe me, here’s a video.

Although the tour is supposedly going to start in 2011, the festivities for their latest work – soundtrack for Disney movie Tron: Legacy – will be starting October 8. From this date until the release of the movie on December 17, the Disney California Adventure Park will be hosting “ElecTRONica,” which will be full of festivities, dancing, and definitely Mickey Mouse. Will Daft Punk show up? Nobody knows as of now, but it is almost guaranteed that Daft will be doing surprise shows leading up to the film’s release. These shows will most likely be in cities where film screenings for the movie are taking place.

While no official dates have been released, this tour is almost certain to be happening. And one thing is certain: this show is going to be spectacular.
